Course Description: A Fiber Optic Installer has a general understanding of inside plant optical fiber installation, connectorization, splicing and testing, and is familiar with optical fiber, connector and splice performance characteristics. After the course, you should be able to perform connector endface evaluation,  be proficient in optical loss testing, understand installation requirements, be proficient at the installation of connectors on various types of fiber optic cables using different epoxies, and perform mechanical and fusion splicing.
