Course Description: An Outside Plant Fiber Optics Installer has an understanding of passive optical networks and single-mode optical fiber. After the course, you should be able to skillfully perform splicing and prepare a splice closure, use an OTDR, analyze FTTH signatures, measure reflectance, test splitters, identify faults, and perform optical loss testing on splitters and FTTH installations. This course is designed for fiber optics installers as well as technicians working in the outside plant field.

Prerequisites: Fiber Optics Installer.
